The restaurant, “Mazzè”, located in the historic center at via Rasella 34, was born in a context of great cultural value, not far from Piazza Barberini, via delle Quattro Fontane and via del Tritone. These are important Roman roads that underpin an “obligatory” route, if you want to get to know Rome and discover its most evocative and secret corners.

The particularity of the district is the result of a mixture of visual sensations and atmospheres, of architectural attractions and ancient events, but also the presence of historic artisan shops, inns and typical Roman taverns. Via Rasella is also known for being the location, in March 1944, of a resounding attack by the partisans against the troops of Nazi Germany in occupied Rome, followed by the retaliation which then merged into the massacre of the Fosse Ardeatine.
